On Thursday, October 17, the 4th, 5th and 6th grade students went on their annual fall field trip. The trip began in Boonville at Peach Tree Farm. While there, the students enjoyed many activities, including petting and feeding goats and sheep, playing in the corn pit, getting lost in the corn maze, a hay ride, and getting to pick their very own pumpkin! Before picking their pumpkin, the owner of the farm explained to us how the underground irrigation system works and how it has allowed the farm to have a higher yield of pumpkins. Before we left the farm, we enjoyed a picnic lunch. Next, we headed to Columbia to Cosmo Park where the students got to play at the huge park. For the last part of the trip, we went to Rock Bridge State Park and hiked to the Devil’s Icebox Cave. It was a long walk with lots of stairs going up and down, but once we reached the cave, the students were excited to see it! All in all, it was a fun day and thankfully the weather was amazing which made the day even better! As you can tell, Mrs. Meyer loves to take photos, so there are plenty to look at! Enjoy!
