ALL KEYTESVILLE R-III CLASSES AND ACTIVITIES HAVE BEEN CANCELLED UNTIL FRIDAY, APRIL 24TH 2020

Dear Keytesville Patrons,

As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and its proximity to the county, the Keytesville R-III School District has decided to extend our current closure through Friday, April 24th.  Having had numerous conversations with County Health Officials, The Board of Education, and fellow local school administration, we have determined this to be the safest and most responsible course of action.  During that period the District will continue to not be accessible in any form (i.e. telephone, on-site staff, etc.) and NO services will be provided.  As in our current closure, all academic and extracurricular events, club activities, field trips, meetings, etc. will be cancelled or rescheduled for a later date.

We as a District continue to encourage home activities such as Exact-Path to maintain some type of student educational exposure. DUAL-CREDIT students will still be required to complete their coursework under the expectations of their given University.  There are opportunities at this point for student meal services through the OPAA office, located at the Brookfield R-III School District.  It is being communicated with DESE that these days will be forgiven through a District waiver process and as you may have heard, State Testing for the academic year has been suspended.

Class may resume on the morning of Monday, April 27th; with that said a determination will be made prior to that, to see if a return is feasible or school cancelation for the remainder of the year is more responsible.  We will continue to make any and all communication through the school Facebook page and text-caster.

One item of importance are senior scholarship opportunities; seniors wishing to apply for scholarships need to reach out to Mrs. Potter at and discuss options, and submittal procedures.  Also of note are the events surrounding Prom and Graduation.  We feel as though these events are vital to the senior experience and are committed to hosting both.  With that said, the two will be held on back-to-back dates, Prom being Friday, July 10th with Grand March at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria and graduation Saturday, July 11th at 1:00 PM in the gymnasium.  Please note, regardless of whether we return on the 27th or not, this date will not change.

Thank you for your continued support through these unprecedented times.

Delinda Meyer, Fourth Grade

Hey, there! I am super excited to be here at Keytesville R-III for my first year of teaching! However, I am familiar with our District as I worked as the preschool aide for the last 3 and a half years! I recently obtained my BS in Education and my teaching certificate, which lead me to where I am now.  I am the 4th grade homeroom teacher and the 4th-6th grade science and social studies teacher. I am also the varsity and junior high cheerleading coach here at KHS! Go Tigers!

My family and I live outside of Keytesville. I have two children, Tucker and Libby who keep me very busy with their sporting events! Tucker plays baseball and basketball here and Libby is in gymnastics. They both attend Keytesville R-III.

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, singing, traveling and Kansas City Royals Baseball!

My education:

2003 Graduate of Salisbury High School

2005 Graduate of Moberly Area Community College – Associate of Arts in Journalism

2018 Graduate of Central Methodist University – Bachelor of  Science in Early Childhood Education

I plan to obtain my masters degree within the next few years in administration!
